The Junior Daughters are near the completion of one of their service projects, the Annual Shoe Drive of Keep the Midlands Beautiful, a local nonprofit agency that partners with Funds2Orgs to recycle shoes.  Through this partnership, shoes are kept out of landfills; a local nonprofit is able to sustain their service to the local community; and micro-entrepreneurs in developing countries have inventory to sell and make money to support their families. A few participating countries are Ghana, Honduras, Ivory Coast, Tanzania, Haiti, and Morocco. They have collected over 425 pairs of shoes (men, women, and children).  We appreciate the support of our parish family.
